## Protest at NYC Hotel
Police arrested numerous individuals following an anti-ICE protest at a New York City hotel. Protesters took over the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn in Tribeca, chanting against ICE and displaying signs.
## Mayor’s Response
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s spokesperson commended the protesters for exercising their right to demonstrate against ICE. The Mayor also praised the NYPD’s handling of the peaceful protest.
## Arrests and Dispersal
Arrested protesters were taken away in an NYPD bus as remaining protesters outside chanted in support. NYPD officers stood outside the hotel as the crowd slowly dispersed.
## Previous Incidents
The protest came after the fatal shootings of Alex Pretti by U.S. Border Patrol agents and Renee Nicole Good by ICE officers in Minneapolis. Earlier, anti-ICE protesters in Minnesota were arrested outside a hotel where they believed a Border Patrol Commander was staying.
