    South Carolina Confirms Second Death

    The South Carolina Department of Public Health confirmed a second death from the recent winter storm as the state prepares for more severe weather. An 83-year-old woman died of hypothermia in Lexington County, following the death of a 96-year-old woman in Greenwood County.

    Trump Approves Emergency Declaration

    President Trump approved South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster’s federal emergency disaster declaration request, providing federal aid to the state. Trump also issued emergency declaration approvals for several other states affected by the winter storm.

    More Winter Weather Expected

    States from the Carolinas through the Northeast are preparing for another round of winter weather. Massachusetts and Cape Cod are expected to receive nearly half a foot of snow and 70 mph winds on Sunday.
