Sixto-Anorve, a Mexican national, was targeted for arrest due to his criminal history. ICE faces increased risks from anti-ICE agitators amid hostile rhetoric.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Sixto-Anorve entered the country illegally and is now in ICE custody.

DHS reported a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks on ICE officers, with 66 incidents from Jan. 21, 2025, to Jan. 7, 2026.
