Tuberville blasts Bad Bunny, ‘woke’ NFL for Super Bowl halftime show
CITY, State (Fox News) — Sen. Tommy Tuberville from Alabama may skip this year’s Super Bowl due to Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. Tuberville criticized the event as too “woke” and plans to watch an alternative halftime show.
Tuberville’s stance aligns with former President Donald Trump’s decision not to attend the game, citing its distance and the choice of performers. Bad Bunny’s selection has faced backlash, with Trump calling it “ridiculous.”
Bad Bunny decided to focus on Puerto Rico for his residency show and avoid U.S. tour dates to protect fans from potential ICE issues. Meanwhile, Green Day will perform before kickoff, with frontman Billie Joe Armstrong openly critical of Trump.
The Super Bowl will feature the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 8. Fox News’ Brie Stimson contributed to this report.
