TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) — Dawn Wiard has entered a plea deal after facing charges related to cruelty to animals and assaulting police officers in a Walmart. She pleaded guilty to attempted assault and three counts of animal cruelty, with other charges to be dropped at sentencing. The incident occurred after distressed animals were found in her hot vehicle at the store.
