The industry’s revenue reached $1.04 billion last year, with most of the funds directed to the state’s general revenue fund for schools. Governor Mike DeWine expresses regret over signing the bill that allowed sports betting in Ohio, citing concerns about game integrity and past scandals involving betting schemes.
