SYLVANIA, Ohio (WTOL) — The decision to close Lourdes University has left the Mitchell family in a tough spot, with their daughter’s college plans as a student-athlete now uncertain. Jillian Mitchell, who had committed to play soccer at Lourdes, now faces restarting the recruiting process just before graduation, after investing time and effort into finding the right fit for her collegiate soccer career.
