Val Chmerkovskiy Deletes Shady Comment After DWTS Judges’ Clash
Val Chmerkovskiy just learned the hard way that the internet screenshots everything.
The Dancing With the Stars pro has set TikTok ablaze after deleting a shady “Fresh Prince” comment he posted while defending his wife, fellow pro Jenna Johnson, from a blistering critique by judge Carrie Ann Inaba over her choreography.
Val’s now-deleted TikTok comment read: “You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night.” Fans instantly read it as a nod to Will Smith’s infamous Oscars slap — and the backlash was swift.
Supporters say Val was just standing up for his wife. Critics say joking about an on-air assault — even obliquely — was a step too far. Either way, deleting the comment only poured gasoline on the discourse. (Page Six and Parade have the full story.)
One thing’s for sure: this DWTS season is delivering drama on and off the dance floor.
