OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WTVG) — Recent research indicates that the Tyrannosaurus rex may have taken a more gradual growth path to reach its peak size closer to age 40, rather than the explosive growth previously thought. The study, led by Dr. Holly Woodward Ballard, also suggests the presence of a smaller tyrannosaur species alongside the T. rex.
