Knumears have revealed that their first album, Directions, will be dropping on April 3 through Run For Cover. Produced at Atomic Garden by Jack Shirley (known for his work with Deafheaven and Gouge Away), the upcoming record delves deeper into the screamo/post-hardcore sound that the band is gaining recognition for.

Guitarist/vocalist Matthew Cole shared, “I believe what attracts us to this genre of music, like many others, is the unfiltered emotion it exudes. Growing up listening to hardcore has given us a unique perspective on the world, fostering both creativity and intellect. Being exposed to music that speaks truth was a pivotal moment for us.”

In addition to the album announcement, Knumears has dropped a new single from Directions, titled “Fade Away,” featuring guest vocals from Jeff Smith of Jeromes Dream. The lyric video for the track showcases the band’s performance intertwined with footage of the crowd captured on a VHS camcorder.
