Stocks making the biggest moves premarket: ORCL, NVDA, MSTR
(CNBC): Pre-market movers: Oracle rises on AI investment plan, while Nvidia dips on stalled OpenAI investment.
Several companies are making moves in pre-market trading. Oracle’s stock is up over 3% after announcing a $50 billion plan to boost AI capacity. Nvidia, on the other hand, saw a 1% decline following reports that its $100 billion OpenAI investment has hit a snag. U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to invest $12 billion in rare earths companies sent shares of Critical Metals, Energy Fuels, and Idaho Strategic Resources higher. Mining firms Newmont and Freeport-McMoRan each added about 1% to their shares as gold and silver prices rebounded. Disney shares rose 2% after exceeding revenue and earnings estimates for the fiscal first quarter, with its experiences division reaching over $10 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time. Tesla’s stock dropped 2% amid concerns over Waymo’s potential $16 billion fundraising and Tesla’s valuation. The bitcoin treasury company’s stock fell 7% as Bitcoin dipped below $80,000 amidst geopolitical uncertainties and cryptocurrency legislation challenges in Washington.
