MILAN, Italy (WTOL) — Laila Edwards, the first Black woman on Team USA’s hockey squad, is set to compete for gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, marking a historic moment for the Cleveland native. Team USA is favored for the gold, with Edwards making her Olympic debut at just 22 years old after an impressive MVP win at the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship.
