EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WOIO) — Three years after a train derailment in East Palestine led to a hazardous material spill and burn, no federal laws have been changed to enhance rail safety. Congresswoman Emilia Sykes introduced the Railroad Safety and Accountability Act, aiming to empower the Railroad Safety Advisory Committee.
