ETNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Nine children ranging in age from 1 to 13 were removed from a mobile home in Etna Township after investigators found “appalling and unsafe” living conditions, authorities said.

Detectives investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect removed the children from the home in the 13600 block of National Road (U.S. 40) SW in Licking County, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

The parents, Jonathan Parr, 37, and Jacquelyn Coleman, 32, were arrested on child endangerment charges and are each being held on $150,000 bond, NBC4 reported. WSYX ABC 6 also confirmed the removals.

The investigation began Oct. 13, when a school district reported concerns to children’s services — prompting deputies to search the home.
