New Music Friday just got a whole lot smoother. Grammy-winning R&B singer Lucky Daye released ‘ALOUD!’ today (October 16) on Warner Records — his first album under the new label deal after leaving RCA.
The 15-track project features Leon Thomas, Pusha T, Muni Long, The Paradox and Akeem Ali, with production from longtime collaborator D’Mile. The title plays on “allowed” and “aloud” — Daye says he stopped asking permission and made music without limitations.
‘ALOUD!’ follows the Top 10 R&B radio hit “Nowhere Fast” and, per SoulTracks, marks a new chapter of confidence for the singer. AllHipHop reports Daye credits a management change for the renewed self-belief behind the record.
Press play, Toledo — and if you’re stacking your weekend playlist, don’t miss A$AP Rocky’s “Shroom Clouds” leading this week’s New Music Friday heat.
