MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers are two wins from their first World Series title in franchise history.

Down 4-0 after the first inning, Milwaukee stormed all the way back to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in World Series Game 2 on Saturday night at American Family Field, taking a 2-0 series lead.

Tampa Bay scored all four of its runs in the top of the first. Milwaukee answered with two in the bottom half, then chipped away with single runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh. Sal Frelick’s 408-foot homer tied the game 4-4 in the sixth, and Cooper Pratt’s go-ahead single in the seventh drove in Brice Turang for the 5-4 lead.

Aaron Ashby closed it out in the ninth, stranding the tying run at third after a leadoff double from Jonny DeLuca.

The series now shifts to St. Petersburg. Game 3 is Monday night at 8:00 PM ET at Tropicana Field — Sunday is an off day. The Brewers won Game 1 on Friday night, 3-2.
