Drake Smashes The Temptations’ 60-Year Record With 18th No. 1 Album

Drake just made history — again. The 6 God has officially shattered a record that stood for 60 years, becoming the artist with the most No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
HABIBTI — the expanded FOMO edition — skyrocketed from No. 35 to No. 1 on the October 17 chart, giving Drake his 18th No. 1. That moves him past both Future and The Temptations, who were tied at 17 each, and gives Drizzy sole ownership of a crown the legendary Motown group had held or shared for six decades, AllHipHop reports, citing Billboard.
Because it’s Drake, the record came with extra style points: HABIBTI knocked his own ICEMAN off the top spot. It’s the first self-replacement at No. 1 since Future and Metro Boomin traded places back in May 2024.
From So Far Gone to 18 chart-toppers — the numbers don’t lie. And for Toledo’s rap fans blasting the 6 God across the Glass City and the 419: your GOAT debate just got a whole lot easier. 🏆
