The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) will offer fare-free rides all day on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, so Toledo-area voters can get to the polls at no cost.
What is free: all fixed-route buses, TARTA Move paratransit service and TARTA Flex on-demand rides. The free rides apply to any ride that day, not only trips to a polling place, under TARTA’s Voter Ready campaign.
Why it matters: with one week to go until Election Day, the ballot includes the Toledo Public Schools Issue 9 levy, the Ohio governor’s race and local issues, and a free-ride day removes transportation as a barrier to voting.
Voting information: early in-person voting continues through Nov. 1 at the Lucas County Board of Elections.
