DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, Defiance County — A 78-year-old Defiance woman was flown to a Toledo hospital with serious injuries Wednesday night after a two-vehicle crash, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Buckskin Road and The Bend Road. According to the patrol’s preliminary investigation, a 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Adebusola G. Balogun, 39, of Toledo, ran a stop sign while traveling westbound and struck a 2019 Buick Enclave that had stopped and was turning left onto The Bend Road, WBNOWQCT reports.

The Camry continued off the roadway and struck a pole. Balogun was not injured; the Enclave’s driver, Marion L. Woodring, 78, of Defiance, was taken by Life Flight to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The crash remains under investigation.
