The dating advice came from the last person you’d expect. On Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” Kourtney Kardashian revealed that her ex-brother-in-law Kanye West once gave her blunt relationship guidance — and she actually followed it before finding husband Travis Barker.

The moment unfolded as Kourtney, 47, visited her stepson Landon Barker’s new home and jokingly counseled him to “wait until you get married” before being intimate. “That’s my advice,” she told the 23-year-old. “Don’t waste your energy.”

A producer then pressed her on whether she and Barker had waited until their 2022 wedding. “No,” she admitted — “but I remember Kanye told me, ‘I feel like God is calling me to tell you that you should not hook up with any randoms until you are with your husband.'”

“And I didn’t,” she added, confirming she didn’t have casual hookups before getting with Barker, Page Six reports. PEOPLE notes West was Kourtney’s brother-in-law from 2014 to 2021 during his marriage to her sister Kim.

Kourtney and Barker, 50, started dating in early 2021 after years as neighbors and close friends, then tied the knot in 2022 before welcoming their son Rocky the following year. West is now married to Bianca Censori, while Kim is dating British racing driver Lewis Hamilton. New episodes of “The Kardashians” drop Thursdays on Hulu.
