Comedian Bill Burr just said the quiet part out loud at the Hollywood Bowl — and Aerosmith fans are spiraling.

Aerosmith played their first headline concerts under the band’s name since retiring from touring in August 2024: “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends” at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, with shows on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1. The all-star guest list included The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Duff McKagan, Tom Morello and Eric Church.

Burr welcomed the Oct. 29 crowd by declaring these “the final two shows in Aerosmith’s history” — a claim the band has NOT confirmed. As Ultimate Classic Rock notes, if Aerosmith were truly calling it quits, you’d expect a hometown Boston finale, not a Hollywood Bowl send-off.

Still, Steven Tyler sounded like a man saying goodbye: “Before we say goodnight, I just want to say what a ride it’s been with my brothers — Joe, Tom, Brad and Joey. Fifty-five [expletive] years…” According to UCR, Tyler performed only one song with the band, an abbreviated set catering to his voice condition following his 2023 larynx and vocal-cord injury.

For the record: viral claims of a full 2027 Aerosmith farewell tour are FALSE — no tour has been announced, and the band said in April 2026 it is “not in touring mode.”
