Halloween weekend in Detroit isn’t just about trick-or-treating — it’s about full cosplay commitment.

Youmacon 2026, Detroit’s annual anime and pop-culture convention, is underway at Huntington Place and runs through Sunday. The hours: Thursday 5–10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.–1 a.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. — four days of anime screenings, cosplay, gaming tournaments and fandom chaos, per 105.1 The Bounce’s weekend guide.

The timing is perfect: Halloween colliding with an anime convention means the cosplay is about to be elite. The 2026 lineup is cross-checked against the event listings at Detroit Theater.

And Detroit’s stacked entertainment calendar keeps going this weekend: the Insane Clown Posse play the Masonic Temple tomorrow night, and Maná’s “Vivir Sin Aire” tour hits Little Caesars Arena on Sunday.

About an hour from Toledo — pack the costume, charge the phone, and go full send.
