It’s official: Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt is now simply Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. A Los Angeles judge granted the 18-year-old’s name-change petition Monday morning, closing the book on a two-year saga that has played out in the public eye.

Her attorney, Peter Kenneth Levine, appeared remotely at LA Superior Court’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse, where Judge Virginia Keeny signed the Nov. 2 minute order with no objections. Vivienne filed the petition July 20, 2026 — eight days after her 18th birthday, which she shares with twin brother Knox — citing “personal” reasons.

She had already been going by “Jolie” publicly for more than two years: she was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” on the May 2024 Broadway Playbill for The Outsiders, the musical she helped her mother produce.

The family scorecard: Vivienne joins three siblings who have already legally dropped “Pitt.” Shiloh, 20, filed on her 18th birthday in May 2024 and was granted the change that August. Zahara, 21, was granted hers in September 2026 and is now Zahara Marley Jolie. Maddox, 25, was granted his in September 2026 and is now Maddox Chivan Jolie. Twin Knox omitted “Pitt” from his high school diploma earlier this year — though it has not been confirmed whether he has legally changed his name.

The name changes land amid the family’s long-running estrangement. Angelina Jolie, 51, filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, 62, in September 2016; she was declared legally single in 2019, and the divorce was finally settled in December 2024 after an eight-year battle. The exes remain locked in a separate dispute over the Château Miraval winery. The kids, meanwhile, are all adults now — and making legal declarations of their own.

Page Six (exclusive, Nov 2) first reported the ruling.
