LOS ANGELES — Talk about a mic drop exit. The Kelly Clarkson Show — which aired its final episode Aug. 31 after seven seasons — just cleaned up at the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards, taking home five trophies including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series.

The ceremony went down Friday night, Oct. 30, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Canceled show, Emmys sweep — you love to see it, according to USA Today.

Clarkson herself lost the Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host award to Sherri Shepherd — whose own show, Sherri, was also canceled. Oof, but also iconic, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Over in daytime drama land, General Hospital won Outstanding Daytime Drama Series for the sixth consecutive year, and Genie Francis — Laura Spencer for roughly 50 years — picked up the Lifetime Achievement honor.

The new CBS soap Beyond the Gates scored four wins, including Lead Actress for Tamara Tunie, while Scott Clifton (The Bold and the Beautiful) took home Lead Actor, per TheWrap.

Canceled shows eating good in 2026.
