Olivia Rodrigo is about to make your holidays a whole lot more emotional — the pop star just announced her very first original Christmas song, and it drops this week.

The single, “take me home (4 christmas),” arrives Thursday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT alongside an official music video, Interscope Records announced. This isn’t a cover of a holiday classic — it’s an original Rodrigo penned with longtime collaborator Dan Nigro and hit songwriter Amy Allen, with Nigro producing. The song is about “the excitement and nerves of spending the holidays with someone you love,” and the B-side is called “miss this christmas.”

The music video is a cast we did not see coming: Rodrigo stars alongside Sex and the City icon Cynthia Nixon and Saturday Night Live‘s Ben Marshall.

Rodrigo announced the single herself on Instagram with Santa-hat artwork — check it out on her Instagram.

Exclusive 7-inch vinyl and cassette editions are up for pre-order now, and the 7-inch hits Target stores Friday, according to Just Jared.

The holiday drop caps off a massive year for Rodrigo: her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, arrived in June, and October’s “expectations” remix featuring Chappell Roan rocketed from No. 63 to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Toledo fans may remember she brought two nights to Columbus last month.
