Hockey season is back at the Huntington Center — and getting there just got a whole lot cheaper. TARTA announced the return of its Walleye Shuttle for the 2026 season, giving fans a $3 round-trip ride to every Saturday home game.

The shuttle runs from five park-and-ride locations across the metro — Sylvania (Lourdes University), Waterville (Kroger), Maumee (Lucas County Rec Center), Miracle Mile, and Oregon (Starr Elementary) — with buses leaving about an hour before puck drop. After the final horn, return shuttles leave the Huntington Center 20 minutes after the game ends from the main entrance near Huron Street and Jefferson Avenue, with the buses lining up along Jefferson.

It all starts this Saturday, November 7, with the home opener against the Fort Wayne Komets — puck drops at 7:15 p.m. The shuttle schedule covers every Saturday home game through the winter: November 21 (Rapid City Rush); December 5 (Fort Wayne); December 19 (Bloomington Bison); January 9 (Wheeling Nailers); January 23 (Cincinnati Cyclones); February 6 (Bloomington); February 13 (Kalamazoo Wings); February 27; March 6 (Jacksonville Icemen); March 13 (Cincinnati); March 27 (Atlanta Gladiators); and April 3 (Wheeling). Game tickets are sold separately at toledowalleye.com/tickets.

With downtown parking and game-night traffic what they are, $3 round trip beats the parking lot every time — and it costs less than one arena hot dog.
