Toledo Prosecutor’s Office Just Opened Its Books — Search Every Municipal Court Case Since 2018
TOLEDO — Toledoans can now look up how Municipal Court cases are handled — what charges were filed, how they ended, and who they involved — going back eight years.
The City of Toledo Prosecutor’s Office has launched a new public dashboard giving residents access to data on cases prosecuted in Toledo Municipal Court. The data goes back to 2018.

The dashboard lets users explore cases by demographics, offense type, and disposition — in other words, who the cases involved, what was charged, and how each case ended. Residents can search the data rather than relying on summaries or snapshots, and see for themselves how local prosecution works in practice.
That matters because Municipal Court is where most Toledoans are most likely to encounter the criminal justice system. The cases handled there — from traffic and misdemeanor offenses to other charges prosecuted by the city — shape fines, records, and consequences that follow people long after a court date.
A public, searchable record changes that picture. Instead of taking the office’s word for how cases are handled, residents, journalists, and researchers can now look for patterns themselves: which offenses are charged most often, how outcomes differ, and how cases move through the system over time.
The dashboard, announced today, covers cases dating back to 2018 — eight years of prosecution data in one place.

For anyone following a particular kind of case — or wondering how a charge like theirs was typically resolved — the dashboard offers a way to check the record directly, without filing a public-records request or waiting for an official summary. It is free and open to the public.
