Bowling Green Adds Future Football Game At South Carolina
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Athletics in partnership with the University of South Carolina has announced the addition of a future football game between the Falcons and Gamecocks.
Bowling Green and South Carolina will meet during the 2028 season with the official date to be determined. The meeting will mark the first in program history between Bowling Green and South Carolina. The trip to Williams-Brice Stadium will mark not only the first trip to the state of South Carolina for the Falcons, but the first time playing an opponent from South Carolina in program history.
South Carolina will be the eighth different active SEC opponent to face the Falcons in program history with the most recent being Texas A&M in 2024, a game BGSU nearly won with a 26-20 final at Kyle Field.
The game against South Carolina joins road games at Minnesota and South Alabama currently on the 2028 schedule for the Falcons. The game against Minnesota is currently set for Sept. 9 followed by the game against South Alabama on Sept. 16.
