Voters casting a ballot in person must show an unexpired photo ID: an Ohio driver’s license or state ID, an interim BMV form, a U.S. passport or passport card, or a U.S. military, Ohio National Guard or VA ID card. Student IDs, Ohio mobile IDs and out-of-state driver’s licenses are not accepted.

Mail ballots must be returned to the local board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Curbside voting is available for voters physically unable to enter a polling place; contact the county board of elections for that option.

Hours recap: Ohio’s early in-person voting runs 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Oct. 30; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, the last day of early in-person voting. There is no early in-person voting Monday, Nov. 2. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls are open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
