FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Police on Saturday afternoon identified the woman killed Friday night inside the Spirit Halloween store at Solano Town Center as Constance Hages, 31.
Family members told investigators Hages was pregnant, though confirmation from the Solano County coroner is still pending. Relatives told the New York Times that Hages was a mother of four who formerly worked at San Francisco International Airport.
Six other people were wounded in the shooting. A 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man and a 32-year-old man remain in critical condition; a 23-year-old man is in stable condition. Two more victims — ages 19 and 43 — were treated and released Saturday.
Police called the shooting a targeted incident carried out by a lone suspect, who is still at large. The FBI Sacramento Evidence Response Team is assisting in the investigation. Authorities have not announced any ongoing threat to the public.
Shots were fired around 8:30 p.m. local time Friday. The mall canceled its Saturday “Mall-O-Ween” trick-or-treating event.
