Cleveland does not do Halloween halfway. Tonight — Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026 — the Beachland Ballroom, 15711 Waterloo Rd, throws open its doors for “Return of Beachland Halloween,” and it might be the wildest cover-party night in Northeast Ohio. Local bands take the stage and play special full sets of nothing but cover songs — and yes, there’s a costume contest, because of course there is (per TicketNetwork, it’s the “Beachland Halloween Annual Cover Show & Costume Contest”).
Doors are at 7 PM, show at 8 PM (AXS; OnesToWatch). The Beachland is a beloved Cleveland indie venue, and this annual bash is a Northeast Ohio tradition — a night where the covers hit harder, the costumes go further, and the whole Waterloo Arts District feels like the center of the Halloween universe. As PubCrawls‘ 2026 Cleveland guide puts it, this city treats Halloween weekend “the way other cities treat New Year’s Eve.”
Toledo, here’s the play: if you’ve got no plans yet, this is your excuse to grab the keys. Cleveland is roughly two hours up I-90 — a natural road-trip pick for anyone with a costume in the trunk and an empty Saturday night. Resale listings for tonight’s party were reported from $34 to $41, which is a steal for a full night of live covers and a costume contest in one of the Midwest’s best small rooms.
And if covers aren’t your flavor, there’s another Cleveland option on the table tonight: Mushroomhead and Fear Factory tear into the Agora Theatre — catch up with our Oct. 28 preview before you roll.
Costume. Car. Cleveland. You know what to do.
