Rush Are Taking Over the Sphere: 5 Nights of 2112 and Moving Pictures in Full
Rush are headed to the Sphere — and they’re bringing two of the greatest albums ever made with them.
The Canadian rock legends announced Thursday that they’ll play a five-night residency at Sphere in Las Vegas in May 2027, performing their landmark albums 2112 and Moving Pictures in full every single night.
It’s called “Elevate From the Norm,” and for classic-rock fans in Toledo, this one is a bucket-list trip waiting to happen.
Five nights. Two albums. One massive stage.
Rush will take over Sphere on May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, 2027. Each night, co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson — joined by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, the same lineup powering the band’s ongoing “Fifty Something” reunion tour — will play 2112 and Moving Pictures front to back, plus fan favorites and greatest hits, with new visuals designed specifically for Sphere’s mind-bending screens.
The shows will also include a tribute to late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who died in January 2020.

A first for Rush — and a long time coming
The “Fifty Something” tour is Rush’s first run in 11 years, running through Dec. 17 in Vancouver before a UK and European leg in January — and the Sphere dates will mark the band’s first-ever Las Vegas residency.
Two albums in full. A stage built for spectacle. A band that hasn’t toured like this in over a decade. Toledo, start planning that Vegas trip — this is the one.
