Future, Drake and Travis Scott Reunite on Surprise Single ‘Ya Hit’ — and Drake’s Got a Diss in His Verse
New Music Friday just got a whole lot louder. Future surprise-dropped “Ya Hit” Friday morning, Nov. 6 — and he didn’t come alone. The new single features Drake, Travis Scott and Loe Shimmy, with uncredited ad-libs from Sexyy Red, and it’s already the biggest rap moment of the week.
Four of the biggest names in hip-hop on one track, out of nowhere, on a Friday morning? Toledo, clear your playlists — this is the one everybody’s going to be talking about all weekend.
It’s also a reunion worth paying attention to. Future and Drake are back on record together after their publicized tensions, and “Ya Hit” doesn’t sound like two artists just mailing in a feature — it sounds like a statement.
The track first surfaced at Drake’s 40th birthday celebration in New York last month, where it was previewed for the room. Drake heard it in person — and jumped on it afterward. That’s how a birthday party preview became one of the year’s biggest surprise drops.
“Ya Hit” is the first official single from Future’s forthcoming album, expected to be titled Infinity — though the title and release date have not yet been announced. It also reunites Drake and Travis Scott on record for the first time since “Meltdown” in 2023, as Hypebeast reports.
And then there’s Drake’s verse. His line “Your album ain’t gettin’ no better” is already fueling diss speculation across social media — though Drake names no target, so for now, the internet is doing what the internet does: guessing.
Behind the boards, “Ya Hit” was produced by ATL Jacob and London Cyr and mastered by Mike Dean — a heavyweight lineup for a heavyweight link-up. HotNewHipHop has more on the surprise release.
So turn it up, Toledo. Future, Drake and Travis Scott just gave New Music Friday its anthem — and if “Ya Hit” is the first taste of Infinity, the album can’t come soon enough.
