Warrants Issued in Old West End Festival Shooting; Police Release Photo of Second Suspect
TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police investigating the shooting that wounded 12 people at the Old West End Festival have issued arrest warrants for one suspect and are trying to confirm the identity of another, according to AP via WBCL.
Police said a 20-year-old man is wanted on 11 counts of felonious assault in connection with the Old West End Festival shooting, which happened during Toledo’s Old West End Festival in June.
Police said the shooting followed a physical altercation between members of two rival groups. Three of the 12 people who were shot were involved in the altercation, police said; the rest were bystanders.
Police on Wednesday released a photo of a second suspect in the shooting, a male dressed in all black at the festival. Police are working to confirm that man’s identity.
The warrants are the latest development in the June festival shooting, which is also the subject of the $20M lawsuit story from this morning.
