BLACKPINK’s JENNIE just checked off a career first — her first song for an animated movie.

“Someone to Hold” dropped Friday, Nov. 6, as the lead single from the soundtrack of Netflix’s animated film Steps, according to allkpop. The film and the full soundtrack follow Nov. 20.

JENNIE co-wrote the track with Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and Jason Gill, with Tranter producing. It’s a Cinderella retelling told from the stepsisters’ perspective — and the soundtrack also features Amanda Seyfried, Rose Gray and Emei.

The song arrived with awards buzz already attached: it was nominated for Song – Animated Film at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, with nominations announced Nov. 2 — before the track was even out.

Billboard spotlighted the release in its Nov. 6 New Music Friday guide.
