Harry Styles Cried Dressed as a Giant Rat at His Final MSG Show — Then an NBA Star Surprised Him
Harry Styles went out with a bang — and a pizza slice — on Halloween night.
The 32-year-old singer closed out his 10-week, 30-show “Together, Together” residency at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 31 with his fan-favorite “Harryween” concert, taking the stage in a giant rat costume carrying an equally enormous slice of pizza — a nod to the iconic Pizza Rat meme.
“No, it’s not hot. It’s pretty cold actually,” Styles joked of the heavy, furry ensemble. “I thought I’d use this momentous point in my career to dress like a rodent. Feels fitting, really.”
Over the two-hour show, Styles ran through solo hits like “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” and “Watermelon Sugar,” plus new songs from his latest album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.” The crowd roared when he unfurled a cover of the Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer” in the home stretch.
The emotional peak came near the end: Styles teared up in front of 20,000 fans, noting he first played the venue when he was 18, and was surprised onstage by New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson, who presented him with a banner commemorating the sold-out residency.
“I just wanted to be here and congratulate you on your 30th night,” Brunson said. “This is my third show — yes, my third show. He’s only been to one game, so he has some catching up to do!”
Styles’ “Together, Together” jaunt continues with a North American stadium trek next spring — keep an eye out for whether Detroit or Cleveland makes the routing, Toledo fans.
