Druski Hosts ‘SNL’ Tonight — the First Creator Ever to Do It, With The Strokes
Tonight, Druski makes “Saturday Night Live” history — and he’s been joking all week that he might also end it.
The comedian and digital creator hosts SNL tonight, Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC, simulcast on Peacock. He is the first digital content creator ever to host in the show’s 52-season history, according to NBC.
The Strokes join him as musical guest for their fifth appearance on the show — previously 2002, 2006, 2011 and 2020. The band is touring its seventh album, Reality Awaits, released in July 2026, and after SNL they head to Mexico City, then Buenos Aires and Melbourne, per NBC.
The promos dropped this week are already doing numbers. In one, Druski tells cast member Marcello Hernández he’s hosting the “last-ever episode of SNL.” In a second, he tries to double as host AND musical guest alongside Sarah Sherman and the band, Parade reported. Watch them here: Stereogum.
The SNL gig caps a huge week for Druski. He signed a multiyear Netflix deal announced Nov. 2, and his new series Collect & Praise — co-starring Mike Epps — premieres Dec. 1, according to AllHipHop.
As for The Strokes, the millennial-nostalgia pick is no accident: they won a Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2021 for The New Abnormal, two decades after their 2001 debut Is This It rewrote indie rock.
Set a reminder for 11:30 p.m. — and if you missed the original announcement, here’s our earlier report: Druski to Host ‘SNL’ Nov. 7 With The Strokes — First Content Creator to Headline.
