Country fans in Ireland just got some heartbreaking news: Cody Johnson has canceled his final two shows of 2026 — just hours before showtime — after a doctor told him not to perform.

The Texas singer announced the news across his socials on Wednesday, telling fans he’d been diagnosed with “a viral infection” and that a doctor advised him not to take the stage. “I am really sorry,” Johnson told his fans.

The canceled dates: tonight (Nov. 4) at the SSE Arena in Belfast and tomorrow (Nov. 5) at the 3Arena in Dublin, with support acts Parker McCollum and Emily Ann Roberts, iHeart reports. These were the last shows on Johnson’s 2026 calendar. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

The timing stings. The cancellations cap off a massive year for CoJo: his February return to the stage for the Cody Johnson Live ’26 tour after eardrum surgery in the fall of 2025, his first ACM Entertainer of the Year win in May, and the June release of Banks of the Trinity — 16 tracks, including collaborations with Luke Combs and Brothers Osborne.

For the stranded fans in Belfast and Dublin — and the Toledo-area country crowd that follows every move he makes — there’s at least some good news: Johnson’s next concert is already on the books for Feb. 19, 2027, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
