DETROIT — R&B royalty is in the building tonight. Jodeci brings the 35th anniversary tour of their landmark debut album, Forever My Lady, to Detroit’s Fox Theatre on Friday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m.

The show is part of a 36-city U.S. tour celebrating three and a half decades since the quartet released Forever My Lady in 1991. The album immediately hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and went triple-platinum, powered by chart-topping singles “Stay” and “Come and Talk to Me.”

The full original lineup is on the road for the anniversary run, which kicked off Oct. 24 in San Francisco and wraps Dec. 19 with a homecoming show in Charlotte, where it all started. A freshly expanded vinyl reissue of the triple-platinum debut dropped in July.

Members K-Ci and JoJo later branched off to become a Grammy Award-nominated pop-soul duo of their own — but tonight, it’s all four back together, singing the songs that defined ’90s R&B.

The Fox Theatre is at 2211 Woodward Ave. in Detroit. Tickets start at around $50, per Hour Detroit. Tour dates and tickets are on Ticketmaster and SeatGeek.
