Dove Cameron Finally Drops Her Debut Album ‘Final Girl’ After Years of Delays
Dove Cameron’s long wait is over. Her debut studio album, Final Girl, is out today — Friday, Nov. 6 — through Disruptor and Columbia Records.
The album runs 11 tracks and just under 35 minutes, and it’s the most personal music of her career. Cameron has said the material is darker and more confessional than anything she’s released before — she cut five earlier singles from the final tracklist because they weren’t confessional enough.
The tracklist: “Silver Screen Baby,” “Emerald,” “When in Rome,” “Good on You,” “Do the Math,” “Hot Girl,” “Skin Over Bone,” “Hands of Man,” “Breaks Open,” “Immortalized” and “Maybe Heaven Is a Jazz Club.”
“Hands of Man” addresses abuse, while opener “Silver Screen Baby” revisits her childhood Hollywood dreams. The album was preceded by singles “When in Rome” — a synth-pop love song nodding to her Tuscan wedding to Måneskin’s Damiano David — and “Do the Math,” which sat in the vault for nearly five years before its Oct. 23 release.
Final Girl follows her 2023 debut EP, Alchemical: Volume 1.
The timing is perfect for Toledo-area fans: Cameron is on the road with sombr’s “You Are the Reason” tour, which kicks off today — and the Detroit stop is tomorrow night, Saturday, Nov. 7, at Little Caesars Arena.
