The St. Paul’s case stalls

Toledo’s last homicide of 2025 won’t be going to trial — at least not now. Al Alim Zaki-El, the man accused of fatally shooting Andrew Shively outside St. Paul’s Community Center on Dec. 26, has been found incompetent to stand trial. His bond remains at $1.25 million.
