Baby, now they’ve got bad blood — and this time, it’s a New York Knick picking the fight.

Knicks guard Tyler Kolek, 25, named Taylor Swift the team’s “fakest celeb fan” during an NBA 2K TikTok livestream on Thursday, Nov. 5, saying her courtside presence is “a little bit performative” because he’s only seen her at one game — Game 4 of the NBA Finals in June.

Here’s the Toledo angle, and it’s a good one. Swift’s last big NBA date night before that Finals appearance came on May 23, when she sat courtside with fiancé Travis Kelce — and Kelce was wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers cap as the Cavs faced off against the Knicks. Swift herself didn’t rep either team that night, but the Ohio team was right there in the frame. For Toledo fans who root for the Cavs as Ohio’s team, that cap said plenty.

Kolek didn’t mince words on the livestream. He said he hasn’t “seen her at any other games” besides that June 10 Finals game at Madison Square Garden, when Swift was pictured cheering courtside with Alana and Este Haim. “Some A-listers just want to be seen at the games, they’re not necessarily fans,” he said.

Teammate Deuce McBride, 26, backed him up — sort of. McBride said he “would agree” with Kolek, but warned that “Swifties [are] not gonna like that answer.” Kolek knew exactly what was coming, admitting he was “gonna get some hate” for the take.

To his credit, Kolek didn’t pretend Swift has nothing going on. He conceded she has “a lot going on” and “can’t come all the time” — but he still landed on the same verdict: her presence is “a little bit performative.”

The Knicks, for their part, rushed to Swift’s defense. A team spokesperson told Page Six: “Taylor Swift has been a Knicks fan for many years, has a long history with Madison Square Garden, and we are incredibly appreciative of her support of the organization.” Swift’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment, and Swift has not responded as of publication.

Swift’s June 10 appearance came with the Knicks beating the San Antonio Spurs — and New York went on to win the championship, its first in 53 years. But the courtside seats had already stirred a backlash over the summer. Hank Azaria said he was “bothered” by her courtside seats and “tired” of seeing her at sporting events, while Charlamagne Tha God asked on “The Breakfast Club” that Swift “get the eff out of” the arena.

So is Swift a real Knicks fan or a courtside tourist? The team says she’s family. Kolek says show up more than once. And the Swifties? McBride already warned us — they’re not going to like that answer one bit.
