Wu-Tang’s Mathematics Drops ‘Black Samson’ Album Days Before the Clan’s Rock Hall Induction
Wu-Tang Clan producer Mathematics has released Black Samson: The Saga Continues today, Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, via DNA Music — 10 tracks, 28 minutes, produced entirely by Mathematics (Ronald Bean), the Wu-Tang DJ and producer behind the group’s iconic “W” logo.
It is a lean, hard-hitting showcase for the sound Mathematics helped define: dusty loops, cinematic strings, boom-bap drums and verses that hit like a roundhouse kick. Every beat on the album comes from Mathematics himself, giving the project a tight, unified feel from the opening track to the closing cut.
The guest list reads like a roll call of Wu-Tang’s extended family and beyond. Method Man teams with AZ on “God Body,” while Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and U-God all bring their unmistakable voices to the project. Planet Asia also appears, alongside the late Poppa Wu on “Knowledge My Wisdom,” plus Ransom, Cormega, Rome Streetz, Che Noir, Skyzoo, Grafh, NEMS and Cory Gunz.
Black Samson: The Saga Continues is the sequel to 2025’s Black Samson, the Bastard Swordsman, which topped the iTunes Rap chart. The title is an homage to Blaxploitation cinema — Black Samson, Black Caesar and Super Fly — and the music carries that same swagger: stylish, defiant and built for the big screen in your head.
The timing could hardly be bigger. The album lands as Wu-Tang Clan concludes its Final Chamber farewell tour and just eight days before the Clan is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 14, 2026. For a group that changed hip-hop forever, it is a victory lap that still sounds hungry — a reminder that the Clan’s legacy is not just history, it is still being written.
And Detroit fans get a front-row seat to the celebration. Wu-Tang Clan will perform at halftime of the Lions vs. Bears Thanksgiving game at Ford Field in Detroit on Nov. 26, bringing the Shaolin sound to one of football’s biggest stages. It is a perfect match: a legendary group, a holiday tradition and a city that knows hip-hop.
