The Golden State Valkyries are still soaking in their first-ever WNBA championship — and the congratulations are coming from the very top.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris posted a viral video message congratulating the Valkyries on their historic title run, praising the team for “your power, for your grit, for your grace.” The video went out on the Valkyries’ official X account, alongside a written message from Harris herself.

She wasn’t the only one. Former President Barack Obama joined in the celebration, congratulating the team and noting that “Ballhalla was rocking all season.”

The Valkyries beat the Atlanta Dream 68–63 in Game 7 on Friday night, with Gabby Williams dropping 30 points and earning Finals MVP honors. The expansion squad captured a title faster than any other expansion franchise in major North American sports history.
