Toledo Gas Just Dropped Below $4 a Gallon
Toledo drivers just caught a break at the pump: the city’s average gas price has dropped below $4 a gallon.
Toledo’s average for regular gas is $3.93 a gallon as of today, November 5, according to AAA metro averages tracked by FuelWide. That is the first time Toledo’s average has slipped below $4 during this recent run-up — and about 16 cents cheaper than it was heading into Election Day, when the city averaged $4.09 to $4.11 a gallon.
The drop is part of a steady slide. Just three days ago, we reported that Toledo gas prices had fallen 30 cents in a week heading into Election Day. Since then, prices have kept falling instead of bouncing back.
Statewide, Ohio’s average is $3.98 a gallon, making Toledo the third-cheapest of Ohio’s 14 AAA metro areas. Ohio’s average was $4.03 a gallon on November 4, about 10 cents below the national average. For comparison, Ohio averaged about $3.03 a gallon a year ago.
For Toledo drivers, the sub-$4 number is the one that matters. After weeks of prices climbing past $4, filling up just got a little cheaper — and the trend is still pointing down.
