Toledo, clear your playlists — this one is a full-on millennial nostalgia bomb.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2027 nominees on Nov. 5, 2026, and the ballot reads like the soundtrack to our 2000s and 2010s: 26 songwriters across two categories — songwriters and performing songwriters — with only six set to be inducted at the 2027 Induction & Awards Gala in New York City.

Leading the pack are four pop powerhouses who basically wrote the songs we screamed in the car, at prom, and at every karaoke night in the 419: Lady Gaga, Shakira, P!NK and Sia.

Lady Gaga brings a catalog that needs no introduction — “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” “Born This Way,” “Shallow” and “Die With a Smile.” Shakira follows with “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Whenever, Wherever.” P!NK counters with “So What” and “Raise Your Glass,” while Sia — the voice (and pen) behind “Chandelier,” “Diamonds” and “Titanium” — rounds out a headlining four that could fill a stadium on songwriting credits alone.

And the ballot only gets deeper from there. Also nominated are Jack White, Boy George, Vince Gill, Ne-Yo, Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, ZZ Top, WAR, Kandi Burruss and Grandmaster Melle Mel.

Here is how it works: a songwriter becomes eligible 20 years after their first commercial song release. Eligible voting members have until midnight EST on Dec. 14, 2026 to vote, with up to three picks per category. The inductees will be announced in early 2027.

So, Toledo — who is getting your vote? The Little Monsters, the Shakira hips-truthers, the P!NK party starters, the Sia belters? Drop your pick in the comments, because this ballot is not just a list. It is the songs that defined a generation, finally getting their flowers.
