NW Ohio parents, grab the costume bags: trick-or-treat season starts TONIGHT.

The city of Defiance holds its trick-or-treat hours tonight, Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and Waterville runs its downtown "Boo-to-Do" event from 5 to 7 p.m. — your first shot at the candy haul this year, Sweet 419 reports.

For everyone else, the big night is Saturday, Oct. 31: Toledo, Maumee, Perrysburg, Oregon, Holland, Springfield Township and Northwood all go 6–8 p.m.; Sylvania and Sylvania Township run 6–7:30 p.m.; Bowling Green goes 6:30–8 p.m.; Findlay is 6–8 p.m.

Want to keep the scares going? The region’s haunted houses are still running, including Field of Fear, The Haunted Hydro, Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends and Ghostly Manor. Full town-by-town breakdown at Toledo Parent and toledo.com.
