A $7M Elizabeth Holmes Doc Just Beat DC’s ‘Clayface’ at the Box Office
Talk about a plot twist: the biggest movie of Halloween weekend wasn’t the R-rated DC horror flick — it was a three-hour documentary about Elizabeth Holmes.
A24’s You Can See Everything, the Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim-directed doc about the Theranos founder, took No. 1 at the domestic box office with an estimated $10.6 million, edging DC Studios’ Clayface (~$10.4M) by roughly $200K, per Box Office Mojo figures via seat42f.
The doc is in its third weekend and has now banked $63.9M domestic against a reported $7M budget — a monster return on investment, World of Reel reports.
But Clayface gets the last laugh. It won Halloween night itself ($4.2–4.3M vs. the doc’s $3.58M), CinemaNerdz reports, and sits at $44.1M domestic and $83M worldwide — officially the highest-grossing pure body-horror film of all time, dethroning The Substance ($77M), ComicBook.com reports.
Laika’s animated Wildwood opened third with $7.5M. The whole domestic marketplace did ~$55.7M — one of the sleepiest weekends of 2026 — though the year is still up ~17% vs. 2025 at roughly $8.5B, per StarTrendDaily.
