Toledo Walleye Opening Night is tonight — Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026 — and downtown Toledo is ready for hockey.

The Walleye open their home season at 7:15 PM ET against the Fort Wayne Komets, their division rival, at the Huntington Center, 500 Jefferson Ave. in Toledo. It is a rivalry rematch to start the home schedule, and the building should be buzzing. See the Walleye Opening Night page.

Start the night at the Opening Night Block Party

Head downtown early for the Opening Night Block Party from 4–6 PM in Hensville Park, with a live DJ, yard games and pregame fun before puck drop. Then find your seat — a rally towel will be placed on every seat for Opening Night. Read the Walleye’s Opening Night preview.

Getting there: the $3 TARTA Walleye Shuttle

TARTA’s Walleye Shuttle is back for every Saturday home game, starting tonight. It is $3 round trip from five area park-and-ride locations. The Sylvania pickup is at the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd., departing at 5:45 PM. Shuttles drop off on Jefferson Ave. near Huron St. and leave the arena 20 minutes after the game. See the TARTA Walleye Shuttle details.

A home opener after a long road stretch

Tonight is the Walleye’s home opener in their 17th season — and it comes after the team opened the season with seven consecutive road games. The Walleye arrive with momentum after a 4–3 win at Kalamazoo on Friday, Nov. 6.

The Walleye have reached the playoffs in 10 consecutive seasons, including three Kelly Cup Finals appearances since the 2018–19 season. Head coach Pat Mikesch is in his fourth season leading the club, and the Kelly Cup chase is very much on again this year.

What’s ahead at the Huntington Center

There is plenty to circle on the calendar after tonight: Military Appreciation Night on Nov. 21, WWE Night on Nov. 29, Throwback Night on Dec. 5 and Peanuts Christmas Night on Dec. 20. Looking further ahead, the first-ever Fins & Feathers Festival arrives March 26, combining Walleye hockey and Mud Hens Opening Day.

Tickets for Opening Night were still available as of this week — selling fast, but still available — so if you want to be in the building tonight, check the Walleye Opening Night page for tickets. Block party at 4, puck drop at 7:15. See you downtown, Toledo.
