Toledo Takes On Bowling Green in a Food Drive Before the Battle of I-75
The Battle of I-75 rivalry is spilling off the field this week — the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University are teaming up for the MAC Food Drive Initiative, collecting nonperishable food for students who need it.
UT Athletics is once again joining BGSU for the MAC Food Drive Initiative. Fans are encouraged to donate nonperishable food items to support the Rocket Food Pantry, which provides food assistance to University of Toledo students.
Donations will be collected at three upcoming UT home athletics events:
- Saturday, Nov. 7 – Women’s Basketball vs. Michigan State at 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 10 – Men’s Basketball vs. Wright State at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 14 – Women’s Volleyball vs. Bowling Green at 7:30 p.m.
Fans can also drop off donations daily at the collection location in front of the Rocket Athletics Ticket Office inside Savage Arena. Items of importance include canned chicken, canned tuna, cereal, oatmeal, ramen noodles, jelly, pasta, rice and instant potatoes.
